As with any trip, the first step of a trip is placed on the starting point of the journey. This time I have had no major problems except a stressful time to take the bus. I leave on Saturday before Easter, the Southern Bus Station is chock-full with people leaving for the Mediterranean, and the bus is full. will finish out about 20 minutes late
bus company Alsa (Group Enatcar). no problem to take the bike (as always, with the wheels removed and put in a bag). Price: € 21.62 plus 10 € of extra for the bike. Travel time: 4:30 hours.
Accommodation: Hotel Los Rosales. € 27.54. To avoid problems booked in advance by telephone from home. It was where I found accommodation, hostels complete Almántica House and The Studio. Dinner menu (13.50 €) in the same hotel.

01. Almansa-Villamalea.

tumbleweed rather quiet, the only difficulty of the high mileage (about 95 miles) that takes place mainly by tracks in good condition with almost no asphalt. Vertical content (about 750 meters) concentrated in the first half of the day, with two soft promotions -Sierra's Mugrón and Rope of Doubloons-without demanding slopes. The most problematic section of the river passing near Alcalá Júcar Jucar. Sections of trail on the descent, and sickle from Alcalá de Júcar to Las Eras, which may require us to put the foot down, along with loitering harsh slopes rising to the castle.

Almansa was abandoned by the roundabout on the old N-430 next to the Hotel Los Rosales, to cross under the highway, and follow the service road access to the knot of the population, where you take the Road San Antón work, paving to the Hermitage of San Antón.
From the chapel begins the climb (6.7 km and 180 m ascent) leads us to skirt the Sierra del Mugrón. After we left the Hill Colmenar Work the Way of St. Anton in arriving at a private farm. After the climb, under the Mugrón summit, descend to the Cañada del Charco, crossing the CM-3201 and before crossing the dismantled railway line, turn right heading north. Alatoz Leaving a farm road that leads to the Cortijo de la Gitana, where we joined our old mate CM-3201, to climb it and cross the Sierra Mackerel, entering the County Albacete Manchuela . At the end of the hill, left the road for a very rocky road lane leaving to our left (you can avoid continuing a mile down the road) and ends in a track in better condition. For the latter, we crossed several ravines in the shadow of the Sierra de Peñarrubia to the Corral de Enrique. On the Road Alatoz we Casas del Cerro.
In Casas del Cerro started one of the most striking sections of the day: la Hoz Júcar River as it passes through Alcalá Jucar. The descent to the river stretches of the trail includes Trialeras difficult road avoidable. Opt for the pavement, my recommendation is to go first to a small balcony that is in the village, and enjoy a breathtaking view of Alcalá and sickle.
The decline coincides with two PR Hiking Alcala de Jucar (Córdoba and The Chapel of San Lorenzo). The yellow arrows down by a bicycle path impossible, that can be avoided in part, following a series of z somewhat easier to do by bike, ending in the recreational area next to the river Jucar. Despite the difficulties, the panorama is worth the effort. Right next to the Roman bridge is the tourist office, and for those who want to stage finish, very close is the Hostal La Rambla. Panels report the short-distance trails and the route of the River Valley Júcar (un posible proyecto de recorrido en btt para aventureros de 109 kilómetros del que se puede encontrar información en la web de Alcalá del Jucar ).
Por delante, para salir de la hoz, tenemos las rampas más duras de la etapa. Hasta Las Eras tenemos 1,8 km. y 150 m. de ascenso, con rampas del 21 %, que se hacen callejeando por el pueblo hasta el castillo. Desde el deposito del agua parte un sendero que continua por la hoz (algún tramo difícil para la bici pero con magníficas vistas, que se puede evitar por carretera) que lleva hasta Las Eras.

02. Villamalea-MONTAGUD of Salinas.

In preparing the route found different journeys made in sections Villarta-Farm Iniesta and Campillo de Altobuey-Monteagudo de las Salinas. I followed the road less marked and options. Villamalea and Albacete province following the omnipresent CM-3201, plain between vines and fallow fields, first by the Old Road to El Herrumblar The Herrumblar , then Iniesta Road to Villarta . In this last section I have a question because in a moment I lose the signal, something small for now, entering the road Villarta Most obviously, the Ledaña Road.
First place in doubt Farm Villarta to Iniesta. Missing or impracticable to Cañada Real de los Serranos, the route continues roads linking agricultural among crops, vines and a stand of oaks, to the northwest. Fortunately the whole section is clearly marked with yellow arrows. Pond Gazpachero past has had to change the itinerary (all tracks I've found do not follow the arrows for about 4 miles). There is a shop that opens 3 days a week (not found) but it may coincide with a street vendor with his van.
